MDAscend was founded in 2015 with a clear mission: to empower physicians with the knowledge, tools, and advocacy they need to navigate their careers successfully.
We recognized that many physicians enter employment negotiations at a disadvantage — not because they lack intelligence or capability, but because the complex financial and legal structures of modern healthcare contracts require specialized expertise.
Today, we continue to stand by that founding vision, helping physicians across specialties secure fair compensation, understand their obligations, and build careers on solid contractual foundations.

Kavitha V. Neerukonda, JD, MHA
Kavitha V. Neerukonda is the Co-Founder and CEO of MDAscend, a boutique firm dedicated to helping physicians take control of their careers through strategic contract negotiation and personalized support. A healthcare leader and passionate physician advocate, she combines legal expertise with healthcare strategy, holding both a Juris Doctor (JD) and a Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA).
With experience at the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Kavitha deeply understands the challenges physicians face across specialties. Her passion for this work is personal — inspired by her family of physicians and her commitment to empowering doctors to advocate for themselves.
Under her leadership, MDAscend provides physicians with the clarity and confidence they need to secure strong, fair employment terms.

Co-Founder & Principal
Satish Subramanian, MD
Dr. Satish Subramanian is the Co-Founder and CMO of MDAscend and a board-certified Emergency Medicine physician at Kaiser Permanente in Los Angeles. With over 20 years of experience across multiple specialties, he brings a deep understanding of the challenges physicians face in both clinical practice and contract negotiations.
Serving on the front lines during the COVID-19 pandemic strengthened his passion for physician advocacy, balance, and fairness in the profession. His leadership and insight help ensure MDAscend remains a trusted partner for doctors navigating their careers.
Outside of medicine, Satish enjoys staying active on the tennis court, golf course, and spending time with his two daughters.

Ryan Olsen, MBA, MPH
Ryan Olsen brings over 15 years of healthcare leadership experience, having served as CEO and COO across leading organizations such as Hoag Health, Providence Health, and Cedars-Sinai. He’s passionate about supporting physicians and caregivers, crediting them for much of his professional success.
Ryan has led major negotiations in partnerships, acquisitions, and private equity — including a $240 million healthcare venture — and even represented health systems in professional sports collaborations.
Ryan holds an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management and an MPH from UCLA Fielding School of Public Health.
